Ireland
“This warm and welcoming country is a perfect destination for European students from the age of 12.”
Ireland is a breathtakingly beautiful country that is welcoming and safe making it an ideal destination for younger students be they boarders at one of the prestigious secondary schools we offer or day pupils whom we place with host families. The education system is innovative and forward thinking and is considered one of the finest.
Ireland also has a good selection of summer camps. There are residential camps based in some of the most historic schools where you can receive English tuition alongside many exciting activities, or multi activity camps where you can improve your English through play and cultural immersion. Spending the summer in Ireland as a family and attending one of the many fabulous day camps is also a great option for improving ones English and getting a real feel for the country and all that it has to offer.
Families relocating to Ireland will feel instantly welcome in this warm hearted and cheery country. There is so much to see and experience from the abundance of majestic castles scattered throughout the hills and valleys, the Georgian squares of Dublin with the distant sound of Irish music or the wild and primitive cliffs on the Atlantic coast. It is a great place to bring up a family.
education system
The Irish education system is, according to PISA, one of the best in Europe.
The system equips students with fundamental tools allowing them to take charge of their personal and academic growth and development.
The education system in Ireland is organized in three cycles:

Secondary education is a six-year cycle that consists of a three-year Junior Cycle, followed by a two or three-year Senior Cycle, depending on whether the optional Transition Year is taken. At the end of each cycle students sit formal external examinations - the Junior Certificate aged 15 and the Leaving Certificate aged 18.
Transition Year, which has been one of the major innovations in Irish education, is an option which is now firmly embedded in the system. It immediately follows the Junior Cycle. It provides an opportunity for students to experience a wide range of educational inputs, (including work experience), over the course of a year that is free from formal examinations and with an emphasis on personal development, social awareness and skills for life.
